Flagship workshop

Firmware Tuning Workshop

A supervised full day for active miners who want a repeatable firmware and power sequence — not a marketing overview of hashing.

Detailed view of electronic circuitry used in hardware workshops

Who it is for

Operators who already keep at least one ASIC online and can carry a working unit into our Yannawa room. You should know your pool credentials and have physical access to the PSU and control board. First-time buyers shopping for “what is mining” sit elsewhere — this day assumes hardware is already humming.

What you leave with

A logged baseline and tuned profile for the unit you brought: wall watts, reported hash, board temperatures, and the exact voltage or frequency steps you applied. You also receive our paper checklist so the same sequence can be repeated on identical models at home.

Included

  • Bench space, clamp meter, and intake thermometer shared with the cohort
  • Instructor-led firmware install path for common S19 / M-series style units
  • Power and hash logging sheet you keep
  • Short energy-efficiency huddle: ducting, idle sockets, and monsoon humidity notes for Bangkok rooms
  • Tea, water, and a late lunch near the benches

Not included

  • Spare hash boards, PSU replacements, or parts sales
  • Remote login into your home pool accounts
  • Guaranteed watt or hash targets — results depend on the unit’s health
  • Overnight storage of your miner after the session ends

How the day runs

Morning: intake photos, stock firmware confirmation, and a thirty-minute baseline under load. Midday: stepwise voltage changes with cool-down intervals between each reading. Afternoon: energy walk of the room’s airflow assumptions, then a second full load test and a debrief comparing your sheet to the group’s range.

Duration & place

Nine hours including lunch, 09:30–18:30, at 100/43 Soi Naksuwan, Nonoi Road, Yannawa. Cohorts are capped at six miners so every unit gets probe time.

Preparation

Bring a miner that boots, its stock PSU if portable, and a short note of your current firmware name. Clean dust from heatsinks before you arrive. If a board is already erroring, tell us when you register so we can decide whether the unit is fit for the day.

Pricing basis

THB 8,900 per person for an open cohort seat. Private two-person benches are quoted separately on the rates page.
